WHERE WAS GOD WHEN WE NEEDED HIM?

After any tragic catastrophe, we hear people asking ‘where was God? Why did He allow this terrible thing to happen?’ “Why is He never here when we need Him?’

Yet many of these same people have stood by doing nothing or saying nothing while left wing groups, such as the ACLU and others have done their best to remove God from our schools, from our courts and yes, there are some who have literally kicked God out of their churches.

I recently referred to two Old Testament chapters (Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28) that theologians call the blessings and cursings chapters. In these chapters, God told Israel how He would bless them if they obeyed His commandments, His judgments and His Sabbaths. On the other hand He told what would happen to Israel when they disobeyed them.

When Israel clamored for a monarchy instead of priests and judges to rule them, Samuel took it as a personal affront to his leadership, but God told Samuel in I Samuel 8:7 and I quote in part: “For they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I would not reign over them.’

Today much of our everyday lifestyle is the rejection of God. By kicking God out of our schools, prohibiting prayer and promoting evolution is the effort of a few to program our children into a Godless state of mind.

By allowing leftist organizations such as the ACLU use our laws and our tax dollars to over rule our laws is in itself allowing evil to become rampant in our nation.

We have done away with the death penalty, so criminals are willing to gamble with time in prison to promote their illegal and sometimes dastardly crimes.

It allows gays and lesbians to force the majority to accept their lifestyle that God calls an abomination and confusion.

It is defying everyone’s right to life by promoting abortion and the murder of children, with the latest tally since 1950 it being close to 50 million babies. Yes, I said babies. One wonders what our nation would be like if those 50 million souls would have had a chance to live and contribute to our society. The horror of this is that we are behind China, Russia and other nations who also advocate abortion in the numbers killed. I say abortion, as the word pro choice is just a smokescreen to cover murder. God alone knows how many children have been murdered by various beliefs and movements since the first child was born.

I’ve heard people lament over the fact that God allowed their loved ones to be killed in war, accidents and yes, murder. Yet become irate at me when I asked if they had prayed that morning for God to protect them and their friends through the day. “ I shouldn’t have to beg” they tell me………… “it’s God’s duty to do this.”

Well, God is one who will not meddle in people’s lives when they don’t want Him around. God has never forced anyone to be ‘saved or else’, nor ‘you’d better keep my commandments or else’. He just laid it on the line and said ‘here it is. Take it and live, or refuse it and die. The choice is up to you. Adam and Eve chose death.

When the Lord God (Yaweh/Jehovah) who was the one who became Jesus Christ, John 1:1-14, Colossians 1:12-13 and Hebrews 1:11-3, 10) married the nation of Israel which we read about in Exodus chapters 19-24 He made a covenant with Israel, stating what they must do as His bride…and when Moses read from the Book of the Covenant…Israel said in Exodus 24:3 “And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and the people answered with one voice and said, All the words which the Lord hath said, will we do.”

Unfortunately, Israel did not live up to her promises and began to play the harlot and began to worship other gods that were not God. She would not repent, so God divorced her, and allowed her to go into captivity and slavery.

Why, where was God? How could He do such a thing? Well, my friends, how could Israel do what they did after promising to do all the words which God had spoken in His covenant with them? How could they so easily reject Him?

This nation was founded on Christian principles, not Islamic, not of Judaism, not of Hinduism and all the other pagan religions. But it was founded on the principles of Christianity and our laws were founded on God’s ten commandments.

However, over the years, perhaps because of our prosperity or because of liberal-left wing organizations creeping into positions of authority, our laws are being watered down to become almost meaningless. Where we can actually kill an unborn child and never have a minute of remorse, or a feeling of guilt. Nor are the abortionists brought to justice.

Perhaps it’s time for the people of the United States to rebel, not against authorities, but against ‘educated idiots’ who teach these things in our schools. Rebel against institutions such as the ACLU and other that are designed to undermine our nations laws, to rebel against groups of people who demand we accept their lifestyles that God calls an abomination.

Perhaps it time we said ‘enough already’. Perhaps its time to take back our schools, our courts and our government.

This nation was founded as a republic, not a democracy. Look it up, and see the vast difference. I recently wrote that our President should promote a theocracy, not a democracy, where once again God is our head, and not men and political parties.

It is written in scripture that there is a time of trouble that will permeate the earth the likes of which no man has ever seen nor will ever see again.

Jesus Christ will return to destroy this satanic system that most nations on the earth embrace. Christ will come as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. It will be God’s way or no way. There will be no other gods before His people, but one God. And He will rule this earth with righteousness. What is righteousness you ask? In Psalms 119:172- ‘All tongues shall speak of thy word. For all thy commandments are righteousness.’

So we ask ‘where is God when we need Him” Well, he’s right there where He’s always been, waiting for us to come back to Him. And yes, if we will repent of our sins, He will be our God again. God cannot live where sin dwells, and right now our earth is a blood bath of sin. Jesus said, “repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.’” Yes, it’s just around the corner. We can accept it now or fight it. But one thing is clear; in the end God will prevail. And God will be there as He always has been, when His people need Him. Perhaps a day of fasting and prayer will tear down that wall which we with our sinful lives have built up.
