TWO STREAMING AUDIO SERMONS by HAROLD E. CORMANY
Pauline Theology; Different Gospel? and What is the Famine of the Word? both as timely today as when he originally gave them several years ago. Both are essential listening for true Christians.
FEATURE ARTICLE BY RICHARD A WIEDENHEFT
Personal
Evangelism
--As
Mr. Wiedenheft put it, "Personal evangelism is a natural extension
of being a good example. It is going one short step beyond shining as a light;
it is simply verbalizing to friends, neighbors, co-workers, and strangers the
blessings that come from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Of course,
most of us don't find it very easy to take that one short step — so the
more we can know about conversion and about evangelism, the more effective we
will be in sharing our faith with others.
Bible Quotations in this article are
from NIV. This article was previously published by Giving
& Sharing as Bible Study No. 114.
NEW! Featured Article Mr.Cormany was an admirer of Richard Wiedenhefdt's writing, especially this article Personal Evangelism. Both men have recently passed on, but the special, step-by-step instruction given by Mr. Wiedenheft on how to make that often painful last step to true personal evangelism will remain essential reading for Christians long after we've all passed on. If we could all make that step, it would be a wonderful thing indeed. Succinct, concise, this is superb reading and teaching.(This article was previously published by Giving & Sharing as Bible Study No. 114) NEW!2 New Streaming Audio Cassette Tapes As promised we have gathered a large collection of Mr. Cormany's sermons through the years which we began uploading recently with So Let A Man Examine Himself from March 2007 and Can We Be Leavened Again? originally delivered on the First Day of Unleavened Bread April 13, 2006. Today we are adding two more, given while Mr. Cormany was living and preaching in Arizona -- Pauline Theology; Different Gospel? concerning the controversies that have sprung up over the years about the teachings of the Apostle Paul; and What is the Famine of the Word? which if anything, is more relevant today than when he first gave it five years ago. Watch for more of his sermons as we'll be adding them as often as we can.

Cassette Tapes Regretfully, we had to discontinue our free cassette tape program. With postage rates increasing we had to make the hard decision that we could no longer provide this service if we expected to keep the rest of the site going and growing. We will be adding many of the tapes to our streaming audio page to keep them available for our visitors. And . . . 14 articles are featured on our Editorial page, our Streaming Audio index now contains 44 sermons and bible studies, and we provide 2 pages of Links to other sites if you would like to read more about some of the topics we cover. | Greetings ! My
name is Harold E. Cormany. I am an ordained minister, who has been preaching
the gospel for over 45 years. Joyce, my wife of 59 years, and I were
both baptized in March of 1958 with full immersion, and with the laying
on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit, as instructed by the word of
God.
I have been affiliated with several Church of God organizations. However, in 1993 I decided to go independent. This decision has allowed me to pastor several groups, and begin an audio/cassette/printed article ministry. Since 1995, we have sent out over 45,000 audio/cassette tapes of nearly 500 sermons on many Biblical topics. I grew up in a Protestant denomination, but in 1957 I was challenged by a radio evangelist to look into my Bible to see if the doctrines that I believed were Biblically correct. To my amazement, I found that Sunday was not the Sabbath of the Bible, and that Christmas (Mass of Christ) and Easter (Ishtar or goddess of fertility) were both of 'pagan' origins. I found that I did not have an 'immortal soul' as preached by most Christian churches, and that I do not consciously go to heaven. Neither do people go to an ever-burning hellfire to be tortured by demons forever, as written in Dante's Inferno. These concepts were introduced by the Roman Catholic Church and passed down to the Protestants during the Reformation. I discovered the trinity is of pagan origin, and that Jesus Christ was the God of the Old Testament. In my search for Truth, I found that God had a definite day set aside on which we should do no servile work, and that we are commanded to appear before him on His Sabbath Days. I also discovered that God has Annual Holy Days (seven in all) that are to be observed as Holy Convocations, or commanded assemblies, in their appointed seasons. As a matter of fact, I found that nearly everything I had been doing as a Protestant was of 'pagan' origin, and not supported by scripture. I discovered in the writings of Paul that Satan the devil is the 'god of this world', and that he has "deceived the whole world." I found that the Church of God has never been an organization of millions or billions of people, but that Jesus calls it "little flock", and that few find the narrow way that leads to eternal life. I have found that we are the Body of Christ, with Him being the Head. As we have for the past 3 years, we will continue to try to place timely and relevant articles on the Herald Ministries web site.
